As you know I was out of the country and unable to assist. Dr H the endoscopist reviews all biopsies the day prior. My guess is he discussed it with one of my partners(who is very accomplished in biopsy procedures) and they felt a trans-thorasic biopsy (commonly done by radiologists) would have yielded better biopsy material(it typically does) and would have been safer. Being that this was late, they may not have even had a chance to discuss it with Dr G. your oncologist. I am sure everything would have been thoroughly explained to you during the discussion prior to the biopsy the following day. You still would have had the option to refuse.
I know that all the individuals involved have patient care and your welfare as their priority from dealing with them daily for many years. I am sorry you perceived them otherwise.
